Following the success of the fourth edition of Muscat Art 2025, the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) is pleased to announce the fifth edition of the Muscat Art Exhibition, in continued efforts to encourage and promote all facets of Omani fine art.

One of the main cornerstones of the exhibition is raising cultural awareness and knowledge of the value of preserving Omani and international artwork for future generations to thrive.

Muscat Art seeks to participate in the regional art scene and to extend its engagement beyond art fairs through complementary initiatives devoted to supporting creatives in the art world and strengthening an all-encompassing, sustainable art ecosystem.

Exhibitors' Move-In & Install — 27 October 2026

Exhibitors begin entering and installing their artworks. All on-site orders must be paid immediately before any implementation.

Exhibitors' Move-Out — 30 October 2026

Exhibitors collect and remove their artworks from the venue.

Important notes

• Prices include VAT.
• Sculpture space is calculated per square meter (sqm). For pricing and participation details, please contact us directly.
• 100% of the fees must be paid promptly after registration.
• The artwork must arrive at OCEC by 27 November 2026.

Each exhibitor receives the following items as part of the standard pack:

• Direct lights
• 1 chair per stand
• Wooden frame wall — 3 m²
• Hanging hooks — long/short

Application requirements & process

• Muscat Art is a jury-based show. You must submit images of your work to ensure your application is judged, regardless of how long you have participated in previous art events.
• Each artist must apply separately in order to be juried individually.
• Jury process: submit your application within the specified time. Applicants who pass the jury can expect a response by mid-October. Decisions made after the deadline will be based on the order in which applications were received.
• Upon acceptance, an invoice will be sent for the wall / sqm fee. Final acceptance is confirmed only after the payment has been received.
• Apply early if you are interested in a specific wall space.
• Additional materials, manpower, and equipment not included in the kit shall be provided by the artist.
• Refunds are not issued after acceptance.
• Follow the stand layout exactly as shown in the diagram provided.

• Early check-in: Tuesday, 27 October 2026.
• Show day doors open for exhibitors from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM.
• Artwork removal begins after the conclusion of the final show day. Artworks must not be removed from the stands before that time.

The following guidelines are newly added to ensure smooth participation:

Build-up schedule

All participants must adhere strictly to the assigned build-up days, based on their respective categories.

Fascia names

Fascia names must follow the approved guidelines and will be printed and installed exclusively by OCEC. Manual alterations, including handwritten text or stickers, are not permitted.

Final day responsibilities

Participants are solely responsible for their belongings. The Centre will not be held liable for any artworks or items left in the gallery after the event concludes.

Live activations

Any live activation must be clearly outlined with a detailed description and submitted in advance for approval. Early booking is required and subject to the organizing team's confirmation.

Permitted exhibits

Only paintings are allowed for display and sale. Exhibitors are not permitted to showcase or sell items outside of their approved category.

The marketing campaign will be carried out through the official social media channels of the exhibition @MuscatArt_Om, alongside the official channels of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre @OmanConvention. In addition, email communications will reach more than 5,000 individuals.

The campaign will engage prominent art influencers on social media and coordinate with leading media outlets to cover the event and arrange exclusive interviews with guest-of-honor and participating artists.

The venue is monitored by a security team assigned by the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. Security operations will be in place during the move-in and move-out processes, as well as throughout the entire exhibition.

Artists are not permitted to remove their artworks from the booths during the days of the exhibition.

The Muscat Art team must be notified immediately in the event of theft or damage. As an exhibitor, you are responsible for your artwork while the exhibition is on display. Participation in Muscat Art may result in damage to property or personal injury. The participant hereby releases and agrees to hold Muscat Art harmless from any injury sustained by themselves or their helpers. The participant further agrees to adhere to Muscat Art's rules, policies, and guidelines, understanding that failure to comply may result in exclusion from future events.

Inappropriate artworks

Any art pieces deemed inappropriate or non-compliant with the standards, guidelines, or policies set forth herein may be removed immediately by the Organizer, without prior notice and at the sole discretion of the Organizer.

Floor plan re-layout

OCEC reserves the right to re-layout the floor plan as may be necessary. Priority to choose slots in the reassigned areas shall follow the first-come-first-serve policy.

Stand names

The stand name as printed shall be deemed final and may not be amended under any circumstances. The Exhibitor is exclusively responsible for providing the correct stand name at the time of submission. Any corrections or alterations required due to inaccuracies arising from the Exhibitor shall be carried out only upon request and additional charges shall be applicable.

Stand use

The stands may be used exclusively for the exhibition of paintings. Any other art forms or items placed in front of the stands shall be removed by the Organizers. No added tables or shelves are allowed in the stand.

Participation certificates

The Organizer shall issue participation certificates only to those Artists who have duly completed and submitted the official Certificate Request Form provided by the Organizer. No certificate shall be issued to any Artist who fails to submit the required form within the stipulated timeframe. Certificates will be issued electronically and posted on the website.

Royal Family imagery

The Artist agrees that no artworks depicting His Majesty or any member of the Royal Family shall be displayed, exhibited, or presented during the Muscat Art Exhibition. Any such artworks are strictly prohibited.
